When did you discover your calling?

I have been volunteering at local non-profits, events and schools since I was young. Community service, especially in the LGBTQIA+ community and in the AIDS community is where my heart is. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence caught my attention in high school, then again when I returned to school as an adult for a BA in Women & Gender Studies and Psychology, minor in Queer Studies. I wanted to connect so badly and was finally given a formal introduction from a friend at a Bingo. The rest is history!

Name Story: I am the only child of an amazing and generous man who many knew as Chappie. I lost him to cancer in 2020, and everyday I strive to do things that would make him proud. Giving back to the community, supporting others in need, sharing my passion with others are all things that my dad was known for, I hope to be the same.

Little known facts:

• I run long distance or challenging trail races for FUN!

• I live my life like MacGyver; I will find a way to make anything happen or be built. NEVER GIVE UP.

• My favorite movies are: Gone in 60 Seconds, and the Fast and Furious movie series (I love muscle cars!)

• I love to watch things grow: Plants, Minds, Creativity, People
