ABOUT THE RUSSIAN RIVER SISTERS, INC.
Our Mission
The Russian River Sisters, Inc are doing business as Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. We are a 21st Century order of nuns. Our mission is to spread joy and goodwill through community events, charitable acts and fundraising, with focus on the special needs of the Russian River area. We are also busily at work in safer sex education efforts, political and socio-economic awareness and community building efforts.

Our primary goal is to make the Russian River area a better place to live.
We are a California 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. We are 100% volunteer run organization with no paid staff.
We are active in raising funds to support charitable causes that often do not normally receive funding from mainstream sources due to societal prejudices and economic considerations.
Can the Sisters' help with my event?
The Russian River Sisters have had the honor of working with many different local groups and organizations, assisting them in their fundraising activities.

Over the years we have assisted other groups by serving in many different capacities. On occasion we act as Mistress of Ceremonies, hostesses and greeters of guests. We also assist with selling raffle tickets and serving appetizers and beverages. We have also worked closely with agencies to deliver homebound meals, deliver toys to needy children, wash cars and more. All you need to do is ask.
If you would like us to attend or work an event, please contact us. All requests are brought up at a general membership meeting once a month and the entire Order votes as a team to attend events. Contact information can be found by clicking on 'Contact' above.
Please note that we receive many requests to attend events and the more advance notice we have the better the chances that we will be able to be of assistance to you.
Since we are a 100% volunteer organization, we cannot guarantee we can attend, but we make every attempt to do so.
Can anybody become a Sister?
Any member of the community over the age of 18 is able to become a member of the Russian River Sisters, regardless of their age, race, sexuality, gender or societal status.
What matters is their desire to serve their community in harmony with the ideals of the Russian River Sisters. We acknowledge that we all are unique individuals and we bring these unique qualities to the Sisterhood, making for a vibrant and diverse Order of Nuns.
