Sisters Go "Down Under" to Stay on Top!

February 14, 2002 --Guerneville, CA. Members of the Russian River Order of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence set sail on February 20th for a 16 day tour of duty in the land down under. Sisters Chastity Boner and Sparkle Plenty will attend World Conclave, 2002. A worldwide gathering of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the event is being hosted by the Sisters of Sydney, Australia.

Sisters Sparkle and Chastity will be meeting Sisters from 19 International Orders. Besides the U.S., nuns will be flying in from England, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Canada and South America. Asked if language barriers were expected, Sister Chastity said "Love and respect will overcome any obstacles. Sister Sparkle and I, along with Sister Wilma Titzgrow of Iowa and Sister Missionary P. Delight from Tennessee are proud and excited to represent the US Sisters."

Now living in Tennessee, Sister Missionary P. Delight is one of the original founding Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Semi-retired, Sister Mish is very active in publishing and public service. "Sister Mish is a guiding light for all of us, radiating peace, serenity and good will with every smile" noted Sister Sparkle Plenty.

The Sisters will be attending many workshops and seminars throughout their stay, focusing on issues such as HIV/AIDS education and prevention, breast cancer issues, fundraising and community outreach ideas. "They have us rather tightly scheduled, but Sister Chastity and I plan on escaping to the beach at least once" quipped Sister Sparkle Plenty.
